Bottle-feeding on the go: our tips for relaxed outings

A walk in the park, a visit to the grandparents, a trip into town… and baby asking for a bottle halfway. With a little organisation, bottle-feeding on the go becomes easy. Here are our tips.

Before you leave: packing your bag

  • Carry water and formula separately: a bottle of water on one side, the formula dose in a dispenser on the other. You will prepare the bottle at feeding time.
  • If you give expressed breast milk, keep it cool while travelling, following your midwife's advice.
  • Remember a bib, a small towel and a bag to store the bottle after the feed.

Choosing the right moment and place

Whenever possible, take a short break: a shaded bench, a quiet corner. Baby drinks better when not distracted by noise, and you can watch them throughout the feed.

Settling baby in the pram

  1. Raise the backrest so baby is semi-upright, never lying flat.
  2. Check that baby is fully awake before offering the bottle.
  3. Stay beside them and keep an eye on them until the last sip.
  4. After the feed, remove the teat and burp baby.

The hands-free bottle, your outing ally

When your hands are busy with the pram or a bag, a hands-free baby bottle helps: its long tube carries the milk to the teat, and the bottle rests in the cup holder or the bag, next to baby. You stay close to them with your hands free.

Important reminder: a hands-free bottle must always be used under adult supervision. Never leave baby alone or asleep with the bottle.

Back home

Take all parts apart and wash them as soon as you get back, including the tube. On our 3 in 1 model, the brush provided makes it easy to clean the inside of the tube. To learn more, discover the three uses of the 3 in 1 bottle or browse all our products in our shop.
